My normal blogging schedule resumes Monday. For the newbies, the schedule consists of:
Miscellaneous Monday: Anything that takes my fancy from quotes, to jokes, to opinions — anything goes.
Top Ten Tuesday: Top Tens listed from 10 to 1.
Fiction Friday: Flash Fiction.
I’ve been quite unwell the past week. I’ve barely been able to muster the energy to read fan-fiction let alone compose blog posts. Even my fiction writing has suffered and, as anyone who knows me would tell you, that’s really saying something.
Anyway, I am still feeling poorly, but I am on the mend, so I will attempt to resume my Fanfic Challenge tomorrow. Not much of a 30 day challenge, given how often I have missed days. Still, I want to answer the remaining questions, so I shall continue to make the attempt.
Wow. I seem to have missed a few days. I got so caught up in life that I hadn’t even realised. Sorry, guys. I’ll post Day 15 later today.
Hi, just a quick note to let all my loyal readers know that I won’t be posting for a couple of weeks. I really need to put all my efforts into getting on top of this bed bug problem and, at the end of the day, I won’t have the energy to devote to blogging. This is especially true when you consider that my Top Ten lists often take 3-5 hours, and my Fiction Friday’s can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours.
I’ll get back into it as soon as I can Thank you for your patience.
Loyal readers may have noticed that I decided to take a break from blogging over the Xmas / New Year period. I decided that I wanted a completely stress free holiday period this year. This meant no blogging, no writing, practically no cooking, early present shopping and lots of alcohol.
For those who, inexplicably, stick with me through my periodic absences, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you all much happiness in 2018. May your lessons be endurable and your days filled with love.
Normal service resumes Monday.
I just want to take this opportunity to apologise to those people who were looking forward to part 2 of X53Za. There is not going to be a part 2 to this short story. Before you all mob me, let me explain. Continue reading
I have just finished clearing out my email and found a backlog of likes and follows for my blog. Normally, I like to check out any WordPress blogs that follow me or like one of my posts. Unfortunately, with NaNoWriMo beginning on Wednesday, I won’t have the time to do this right away.
I just want to let everyone know that I am not ignoring you. I will begin working through my backlog as soon as NaNoWriMo is over. There are quite a lot, though, so if I don’t get to you right away, I do apologise. I won’t be playing favourites. I’ll be going through them in chronological order.
For those who follow me on twitter, I also won’t be tweeting much during November. I just can’t see myself as having the time to do so.
Thank you, everyone, for your patience.
I came across this website that offers free public domain vintage clipart and thought I would share. It’s worth checking out, as many of the images are absolutely beautiful. In fact, I selected one to use as my new blog icon.
It’s that time again. You know what I’m talking about. The time when I, your friendly neighbourhood lapsed blogger, climb back behind the old keyboard for another attempt at maintaining a blog. Continue reading
I want to apologise for the lack of content lately. At first I was still feeling a bit seasick, even a few days after returning. After that, it has taken me a bit longer than expected to catch up on the things I needed to do. Normal posting should, all things going well, resume on Wednesday 24 February.
Thanks for your patience.
Yes, you read the title correctly. I am back. Butterfly and I arrived back yesterday. And let me just say I am never doing that again! Continue reading
I apologise, but today’s Top Ten Tuesday has been cancelled as I ran out of time before leaving for my cruise. Today’s topic will reappear some time in April.
G’day everyone. Just a quick note that the coconut ice recipe will be late as I have run out of some key ingredients and cannot replace them until pay day. It will be posted as soon as I am able, however.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have not completely caught up with the posts I missed, but I am getting there. The posts for the 18th, 19th & 23rd of November are now up:
Yasmine November 2015
Also, would like to apologise in advance but, due to all the catching up I have had to do, I have not been able to devote as much time to my research on Hijab. Therefore, my upcoming blog post on the topic has been postponed and will probably be published some time in February. Sorry to those who were wanting to read it.
I have begun writing the posts from the week I missed due to no internet access. Some of the topics have proved to be quite time-consuming, though, so I won’t be able to complete them all at once.
In any case, the posts from the 25th and 26th are now up:
The Suspected Wharfie
Awesome Anime Reviewers
I would like to apologise for the lack of posts this past week. I have been offline due to an unpaid bill. I am back online now though and I will add (and backdate) the missing posts tomorrow. I need to use this afternoon to catch up on all my emails and facebook is probably overloaded with messages by now as well. I’ll get those posts up asap.
In the meantime, why not check out my other blog Turning Pages?
While researching ideas for blog posts, I came across a bunch of articles on the importance of consistency and planning ahead. These may seem like fairly obvious concepts, and they really are. However, they are concepts that I have not been utilizing for Rafferty’s Rules. I have resolved within myself to make a concerted effort to change that fact, though. Continue reading
Finally! I am finally done updating my blog. Continue reading
Well, I finally have a computer and my internet connected, both at the same time. At long last, I can continue with my blog overhaul! Continue reading
I have had absolutely no time to write even the simplest blog entry for the longest time, so there is a large time skip between my most recent post and this one. Continue reading
