As many of my loyal readers know, I have recently completed a series comparing the video sites Trendo & Daily Motion. In the end, I found that my needs were best met by Daily Motion. However, it seems that these posts are no longer relevant, as Trendo is no longer an option.. Shortly after moving from a free site to a subscription based service, the site closed down, citing escalating hosting costs. Members have been assured that all money will be fully refunded. This leaves DailyMotion as the only viable alternative to YouTube for amateur content creators.
